Great to meet you!

I’m Solim Tchedre, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in North Carolina. As an educator, I contribute to nursing education at Chamberlain University and previously at Carolinas College of Health Sciences, focusing on innovative teaching and mentorship.

I believe in a holistic approach to mental health, supported by my volunteer work and fluency in French. I’m dedicated to fostering understanding and support for each client’s journey. I look forward to working with you to achieve your mental health goals.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is holistic and patient-centered. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship with each patient, grounded in trust and empathy. By thoroughly understanding each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and goals, I tailor treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices. I emphasize the importance of collaboration with patients and within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the most comprehensive and effective care possible.
I also focus on continuous education and staying updated with the latest developments in mental health care to offer the best treatment options. Additionally, I integrate my fluency in French to better serve French-speaking patients, breaking down language barriers and enhancing communication. My overarching goal is to empower patients on their journey to mental wellness, providing support and guidance every step of the way.

What you can expect from our first session

As a psychiatric provider focusing on medication management, clients can expect several key takeaways from our sessions:

1. Personalized Treatment Plans: Clients will receive a thorough evaluation to understand their unique mental health concerns. This evaluation will guide the development of a personalized medication plan tailored to their specific needs.

2. Education and Information: Clients will be informed about the medications prescribed, including their purpose, possible side effects, and expected benefits. This helps clients to understand how medications fit into their overall treatment plan and make informed decisions about their care.

3. Open Communication: Sessions provide an opportunity for clients to express any concerns or experiences related to their medication. This open dialogue helps ensure that the treatment plan remains effective and comfortable for the client.

4. Monitoring and Adjustment: Clients can expect regular follow-ups to monitor the effectiveness of the medication and to make adjustments as necessary. This ongoing assessment ensures that the treatment remains aligned with the client’s evolving needs.

5. Integration with Other Therapies: For those receiving additional forms of therapy, medication management sessions can offer coordination with other mental health professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment.

6. Support and Encouragement: Ultimately, clients can expect a collaborative partnership aimed at improving their mental health outcomes, where they receive not only medical advice but also emotional support and encouragement.

Through these sessions, clients are empowered with the knowledge and resources to manage their mental health more effectively, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life.
